El Jimador – Osage Beach
Spending the last 13 years in Arizona I have come accustomed to eating Mexican food on regular basis. On arriving here in Camdenton, MO we were interested in finding some good Mexican food.
Our first sit down dinner out after getting the house unpacked was to El Jimador, in Osage Beach. The atmosphere was similar to many old style restaurants we have been to before. First impressions always are based on the chips and salsa at any Mexican restaurant. Both were good. I tried a steak burrito and my wife had a taco salad. She enjoyed hers while I being a bit more picky was not impressed by the steak. I felt it was a bit chewy. Next time I will try the chicken. I did enjoy a cheap Sam Adams on draft, which was a nice surprise. A Sam Adams for less than $4 would be unheard of at any restaurant we frequented in Arizona.
To provide some exposure to the services I offer I will occasionally review the internet experiences provided by the local businesses.
"El Jimador Osage Beach" results in a number one entry from google. We did not use this website before going nor did we check out any of the numerous reviews found when searching. The website is not the flashiest or best designed but it is not the worst I have seen, likely because it is a template from a website mill. My wife would prefer to see a full menu for previewing. I did notice a typo in the directions referencing a "Grand Glanz Bridge" instead of the "Grand Glaize Bridge" which I know from driving over on my many trips to Home Depot. Also I think to help the El Jimador brand themselves and create a lasting customer experience they would benefit from including the story from the menu on the website or at least a summary and picture to tie the website to the dining experience. The best I can do is provide the wikipedia entry on Jimador.
