A Fresh Start

My name is Matt Anderson and I just moved to Camdenton, Missouri from Phoenix, Arizona. This was a big move for my family and promises to be quite the adventure.  We moved without knowing anyone who lives hear full time, we never saw the house we bought in person and my wife is 7 months pregnant. Needless to say it was a nervous few months leading up to the move.

With the move it has come to our attention that the Lake of the Ozarks area is limited in regards to useful information about actually living in this area as compared to what was available in Arizona.  Whether you live in Camdenton, Osage Beach, Lake Ozark, Linn Creak or any surrounding lake area town the quality of websites with information about the area is average at best.

I have been in information technology for about 11 years. During the day I spend my working hours building and designing databases and applications for a large public company.  Before that I worked as a one man IT shop for a small children’s clothing company. I built websites, created invoice and order processing software and even packed shipments of clothes for our customers. Somewhere between the large enterprise and the tiny family owned business I want to find myself solving problems.

So that brings us here, to tonkapark.com.  Created as an outlet for freelance work and blogging. The name comes from Ha Ha Tonka State Park right here in Camdenton, MO. My wife and I own several acres of land just outside the park and thought that Tonka Park would be a great name for the internet site.

The Tonka Park blog will be an experiment of sorts. I want to drive traffic to my Camdenton, Missouri website design and technology services portfolio, prove the need for such services to local businesses and organizations in the Ozark area and meet prospective clients.

Please feel free to comment on any and all posts and share your insights into the area. If you need help with a website or a business software problem don’t hesitate to contact me, tonkapark@gmail.com.
