Camdenton or Osage Beach?
It is a never ending battle trying to improve or maintain the ranking of your website on Google, Yahoo and Bing. I have received some advice lately from Mark over at brand5.com. He has some great suggestions on SEO and improving your pagerank. My most recent step, as advised by Mark's recent article on about.com was to suggest my url to dmoz.org, aka ODP.
I originally started out trying to gain the top spot for Camdenton web design. I have basically acheived this. I am #1 or 2 on the big 3 search engines. I hope that blogging about working and living in Camdenton will continue to keep my site well listed. As time progresses I hope to be the first person anyone in Camdenton calls when they need application development or a website design.
So with the first keyword pair looking good I am now concerned with my placement for Osage Beach web design. There are more businesses in Osage Beach than Camdenton and several designers already laying claim to top search results when using Google or Yahoo. On Google when searching for my site I actually find the domaintools.com lookup of my domain, page 2, prior to finding my website entry for Tonka Park, page 5. Google has been dissapointing me lately. So I use Yahoo as my search engine with Google Chrome browser. Go figure.
Bing actually puts me at #2 returning my Tonka Park website sandwiched between two DreamStone Media links.
DreamStone Media seems to hold the search result lead in Osage Beach when it comes to web design. I haven't met Tim Badolto yet but it looks like he has been in the area for several years. Hopefully, there is room in the Lake of the Ozarks for another web designer and application developer.
I have been developing enterprise and small business databases and applications for several years now and think I have the ability to differentiate myself from the rest of the designers in the area with my skill set.
So am I the next Camdenton web design and development company or the next Osage Beach web design and development company? Perhaps one day I can aspire to be a Lake of the Ozarks web design and development company. One town at a time.
